Description Expectation/content: A practical workshop providing a structured approach to working with programmable components as referred to in both the National Curriculum KS3 D&T programmes of study and the new D&T GSCE subject content. You will complete a typical design and make task, making use of electronics. This will then be re-engineered incorporating the use of programmable components enabling interactivity, to meet the needs of the new KS3 and KS4 curriculum requirements. No prior expertise is necessary. Learning outcomes: Completing this course you will enable you to: develop electronics skills and programming to meet the KS3 and KS4 requirements learn how to structure KS3 &4 programmable component projects activity into schemes of work develop a basic level of programming capability necessary for building control systems work with a programmable component kit that can be used back at school, make use of a remote infra-red, light, heat sensors as an input in a system access a repository containing comprehensive support material.
