Fostering a close link between Drama and English at Key Stage 3 has a whole host of benefits: pupils are better able to understand literature, are often more motivated to participate in lessons and their confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing can be developed. This course explores an outline scheme of work for English KS3 which makes frequent use of drama in the classroom. You will explore the practical implications for adopting this style of teaching and will be encouraged to take on the role of pupil in order to experience its effectiveness. |
