More than ever anyone involved in providing food or the education of young people needs to understand the link between diet and health.

Details This course gives a good basic understanding of nutrition principles and terminology; understanding of the requirements of a balanced diet and its positive effect on health; identifies different needs, allergies and food intolerances; appreciation of different groups of people, their diets and lifestyles; knowledge of current legislation; understanding the impact of food processing and manufacturing on the nturitional content of food and an appreciation of the importance of accurate nutritional information.
