Description This two-day course aims to increase the confidence and competence of those involved in the food education of children. This practical course investigates relevant and appropriate practical food work in primary schools based on the National curriculum and how to promote the teaching of healthy eating messages.
Duration This is a two day course with time between the days for reflection, trailling ideas and information gathering.

Details This course explores how to include practical food activities in the classroom. There is substantial practical food activity involved and participants will be expected to be suitably prepared. It covers food hygiene in the classroom; promoting a whole school approach to food; developing skills and confidence when working with food in the classroom; highlights the value and relevance of food activities across the curriculum and promotes the teaching of healthy eating messages.
