Impact on practice

This amazing course has enabled me to feel totally comfortable when supporting children and young people through many difficult loss situations. It has impacted their learning as it has allowed them to express themselves and acknowledge their grief, identify inappropriate behaviours and raised their aspiration and achievement. Children who were previously labelled as 'badly behaved' or 'disruptive' began to engage and talk about their issues.
Quality of teaching

The quality of information given is outstanding - the presentation of the materials is done in a way that makes it easy to take in as it is an intense course. The follow-up support is fabulous - Carole is a wonderful trainer and guide, her on-going guidance has proved to be unending and nothing is too much trouble. This course has truly challenged my thinking with regard to grief and loss support and made me the teacher I am today - my classroom has a 100% ethos of positive mental health and resilience because of what I learned.
Venue, catering, facilities/accomodation and booking

GRM UK supported me with my hotel booking for the course - I stayed for dinner, bed and breakfast for the duration of the 4 day training. I was extremely happy with my room and all the facilities I used during my stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again, or recommend it to others.
Any other comments? Would you recommend this to other teachers? I would strongly recommend this training to anyone who wants to change the way they approach mental health, grief, loss and resilience in the classroom. It is suitable for education based staff of any role, who work with any age group. My only regret is that I didn't find this course 30 years ago when I first began working with children!
