Description This 60-credit Masters level module is for teachers who are in their first year of teaching (NQTs). The aim of the module is to provide new teachers with support during the year and the opportunity to share their experiences with other NQTs. As the module progresses it aims to build approaches to practice that are reflective and help NQTs to become 'practitioner-researchers'. Much of the course content will be related to areas of interest and issues that arise in the course of students' own teaching; there will also be input in developing as reflective practitioner and practitioner-researchers.

Follow-up activities and support

Upon completion of this module, students can choose to continue to the next stage of the full Masters programme. NB: All participants will be registered on to the full Masters programme in the first instance but will have the opportunity to opt out at the end of each module.
