Description With literacy as a key focus of the Ofsted new inspection framework from January 2012, teachers of all subject areas need to ensure that all groups of students are achieving as well as each other in literacy in all classes. Literacy is so closely linked to achievement across all subject areas and it is clearly now the responsibility of all teachers. This course is designed for any teachers who feel that they lack knowledge on the new literacy demands across all subjects. In addition, it would be of great benefit to those who would like successful strategies to incorporate into their own teaching or department area. Any classroom teacher or teacher in charge of curriculum development will find this course extremely useful in responding effectively to the current demands of Ofsted with regard to delivering literacy.
