Stated learning outcomes for this course

Effective questioning can be used to summarise and review previously learned material – it can draw pupils into the lesson and focus them on key issues and concepts, helping them to reflect on information and commit it to memory. Good questioning technique determines how much the class understands, diagnosing specific difficulties and allowing teachers to pitch lessons at the appropriate level. Expert questioning helps pupils develop thinking skills, encourages discussion and stimulates new ideas.
