| Description | Teachers are given little guidance on how to handle their digital identity. The boundaries around school rules, privacy and appropriateness are often blurred. School leaders often enforce a blanket ban on the use of social media in school in the interest of safeguarding both teachers and young people. But social media websites can be an invaluable teaching and learning resource when used effectively and creatively. Schools who embrace emerging technology rather than running from it, will reflect their progressiveness in their results. This one day course of workshops for teachers is crucial for bridging the digital gap. It will redefine educator’s relationship with social media and their professional digital resources. Our approach is to define interaction with technology. |

Innovative Professional Development Workshops for Educators This one day course of workshops for teachers is crucial for bridging the digital gap. It will redefine educator’s relationship with social media and their professional digital resources. Our approach is to define interaction with technology by exploring two strands: • The use of “words” online - and how words build a narrative about who we are. • The use of “time” online - and how that time is used efficiently and reflected to others. During the one day course, teachers will experience all four workshops. The four workshop themes are: • Who Am I? What is my digital identity and how does it relate to my physical life? • Where Am I Going? What are the outcomes and results of interaction online? • What Are My Boundaries? How do I separate my professional and personal? • What Is My Digital Chemistry? Who am I attracted to online and who do I attract? |
