COURSE DETAILS

Students need ability in the subject but they also need the right teaching and learning experiences to help them secure the very highest grades at GCSE. With the focus on the C/D borderline and pressure of league tables, the needs of potential A/A* students are often not always a priority. Tony Childs will use his vast experience as an examiner and teacher to support you and add to the strategies you already have in place.

WHY THIS COURSE WILL HELP YOU...

This course is designed to help you get the very best from your students which is what every teacher wants. You will have a range of approaches already but the course will focus on giving busy professionals the approaches necessary to help their students make progress towards the C grade.

The course also takes note of the new OfSTED requirements and is designed to help you meet the requirements of the new Inspection Framework. In terms of teaching and learning OfSTED inspectors must consider whether:-

·         Pupils understand well how to improve their work and performance

·         Teachers use questioning and discussion to assess the effectiveness of their teaching and to promote pupils’ learning

·         The needs of individuals and groups of learners are being met through the teaching and learning provision)
