About the session

The session will explore a number of practical strategies that encourage independent and collaborative enquiry, a key skill for the 21st Century.  Attendees will leave with the basic knowledge and skills to be able to implement these ideas on return to the classroom.  David will provide ideas and inspiration for both student and teacher led enquiry, and also introduce simple and freely available technology tools such as geocaching. David will use real life examples of creative and inspirational geography from his department's classrooms and provide details of freely available resources on the internet. His case studies will show how geography can be placed at the centre of whole school policy.
