Description Very Creative Maths for the Primary Classroom - How to teach mathematics (very) creatively in primary schools with Trisha Lee. Our brains are hardwired to make sense of the world through story. Children’s fantasy play is rich with metaphor and imagery, language and sound - we just need to bring these stories into the maths classroom for some serious and effective learning. This unique and engaging new day-course will teach you how to let children’s imagination and creativity take the lead when it comes to learning maths and is based on an approach that has been proven to help teachers boost engagement and achievement in maths by making it fun and easier to understand for young learners. Audience: Primary teachers. Suitable for key stages 1 and 2.
