Mike Fleetham, an Independent Education Consultant works across the world helping thousands to make education more effective and enjoyable. As anadvocate of video-based CPD he will provide you with practical insights enabling you to:

• Apply a high quality practice reflection tool
• Consider your own teaching in contexts of Ofsted’s criteria and ‘typicality’
• Explore issues and potential of video based CPD
• Explore the role of coaching and its effect on accelerating teacher development
Mike will also feature take-away resources to engage and inspire learning in the classroom, including writing and thinking skills activities.


Shelfield Academy will be showcasing their use of IRIS Connect a collaborative CPD tool which has helped them to
embed a self-reflective peer led CPD culture enabling them to achieve their CPD aspirations.
You will also have the opportunity to hear from the teaching staff at Shelfield who will show how they have used IRIS Connect as a tool to craft their own teaching expertise, including:
• Self-reflection
• Identifying learning behaviours in the classroom
• Peer Observation
