|Description||This full-day course is designed for senior leaders in primary schools. The course provides delegates with the coaching tools necessary to achieve outstanding performance. The key learning will be to understand the pillars of great coaching; raising awareness and encouraging the coaches to take personal responsibility for their actions. Its aim is to give the school’s leadership the confidence and coaching capability to deliver their vision and objectives.|

This session will address the following issues:
• Establishing a high performance culture based on coaching and personal growth;
• Enabling teachers to deliver outstanding lessons using a facilitative/coaching approach;
• Knowing how to structure conversations to raise awareness and personal responsibility;
• Knowing how to give motivational feedback which avoids criticism yet gains behavioural change;
• Introducing coaching competencies that will underpin learning & development.
The above elements will be applied and woven together throughout the day, to form a powerful template which can be taken away and used in your school.
This day will enable participants to return to school with the knowledge and increased confidence to both support and challenge staff. It will give them the skill to ask effective questions, listen with empathy and use the GROW model to structure powerful conversations. Delegates cite that the experience gained from this workshop has had a profound positive effect on their leadership style.
Feedback from delegates tells us that people often feel they have gained more benefit from attending in a pairs (this could be with a leadership colleague or governor) although this is not a course requirement.
You will also be provided with a USB memory stick containing a copy of the presentation and any supporting documents, as well as a printed copy of the presentation notes.
