|Description||The course is appropriate for those given the task of raising the skills and/or performance of new or experienced staff, and who have previously received little or no formal training in coaching or mentoring. The course is also appropriate for those already providing coaching & mentoring who have received some training in the past, but who are seeking a refresher in these skills. We find most people attending the programme are aiming to use coaching & mentoring skills to enhance staff skills and performance, but the course will also be of interest to schools & colleges using mentoring to provide broader support to staff or implement peer mentoring schemes. The course will guide delegates through what is meant by mentoring & coaching and how coaching and mentoring can be used as part of performance improvement and development. Simple process models for both activities will be practised along with key skills needed for conducting these developmental relationships successfully.|
