The day will provide many practical ideas with examples from different religious traditions. Teachers will take away at least six transferable strategies for encouraging purposeful talking, listening, reading and thinking, including examples from Christianity and Hinduism. Stephen will give a range of ideas to help pupils make connections in their learning by making the best use of images, art, video and story in the RE classroom. The final session will focus on using creative arts and actions to enable pupils to show what they understand about religions and beliefs they have studied, as well as expressing their own thoughtful ideas.
