Enabling secondary teachers to create a coherent programme of enterprise education which supports students to develop skills and competencies in preparation for future employment, education or training through:

  • Increasing understanding of the role of enterprise education, including how and why it is relevant to the young people you work with
  • Knowing where enterprise education fits within the secondary curriculum
  • Considering how an Enterprise Planning Framework can be used to plan and evaluate effective delivery
  • Building confidence in developing appropriate curriculum, and extra-curricular, progression routes for students
  • Knowing where to find resources and further support to aid your development of enterprise and careers education

1.20-1.30: Registration

1.30pm - 2.30pm:

  • The role of enterprise education and its relevance to the young people you work with

  • The secondary curriculum and where enterprise education most effectively fits in

2.30pm -2.45pm: Break

2.45pm - 4.00pm:

  • Utilising an enterprise planning framework to effectively plan and evaluate delivery

  • Key tools in developing enterprise education within your context

  • Where to find resources and support to aid the delivery of enterprise and careers education
