Description This is a unique opportunity to come face to face with familiar and unknown works of sculpture in the inspirational setting of the British Museum. Using the rich resources of the British Museum’s collections, from the classical period onwards, this course will introduce you to a range of actual works of sculpture via a mixture of seminar and gallery sessions.

Participants will benefit from the extensive knowledge and insights of the experts and specialist curators of the various periods and leave the course inspired, with plenty of ideas of how to apply what they have learnt to their Participants will enrich their knowledge and appreciation of works of sculpture; have opportunities to analyse sculpture with experts and expand their range of case studies; look at the relationship between drawing and sculpture through the museum’s prints and drawings collection and have time to explore other areas of the museum.
