Description This course is designed to support Lower Key Stage 2 teaching staff in delivering programming at Lower KS2 (Years 3 and 4). It will enhance their understanding of programming and will support them in developing creative approaches to engage their children. The course is aligned with the 2014 Computing Curriculum and for those teaching the Herts Computing Scheme. The course will cover: - Using logical reasoning to support pupils in creating algorithms and programs - creating, debugging and refining algorithms and programs - developing an understanding of simulations and how they are programmed; - using simple resources to develop programming skills including an introduction to Scratch, Scratch Junior, Hopscotch and Logo
