|Description||Our Masters programme helps you to handle the hard questions that you face in everyday practice. From early 2013 we will be offering an MA in Leadership and Innovation. This programme will be delivered in hub schools throughout the UK to build leadership capacity and research skills in participating schools.|

Participants attend 21 x 2hour twilight (4.00pm-6.00pm) seminars in their school a year (approx. 7 sessions a term) and participate in 3 Signature Lectures a year. Each cohort of 8 – 10 students has support from a designated tutor who leads the MA sessions in-house and liaises with senior staff to ensure strategic support for the group. The MA group becomes a strategic in-house R&D team. The programme can also be delivered for clusters of schools, academies or federations to support strategic accredited development in-house.
Assessment model that takes account of practice
The MA assessment framework is rooted in evidence-based practice and draws on a range of assessment approaches such as reports, professional papers, video footage, blogs, portfolio, presentations, academic papers, including new media to evidence learning. Those who complete the Postgraduate Diploma proceed to the MA by academic paper. The final module is assessed through a 5,000 – 7,500 word academic paper of publishable quality to maximise knowledge transfer and applied learning.
Annual Conference – Innovation in Practice
All MA students participate in our Annual Conference entitled Innovation in Practice. This gives MA students a chance to gain skills in presenting their work at a formal conference and to disseminate more widely their innovative practice.
Innovation in Practice Lecture Series
MA students attend a keynote lecture each term featuring a national or international speaker on topics related to Innovation in Practice. The lecture series is an opportunity for MA students to network with students from other schools or clusters nationwide and to create their own community of interest.
