|Learning outcomes for participants/users and, where relevant, pupils or students||
This SMSC course for primary teachers will provide you with the tools and knowledge to evaluate provision across your school. Experience a day full of practical games and ideas to use straight away that will encourage children to take an active role in their learning.
By attending this course you will be able to develop leadership and teaching approaches that will encourage children to include all elements of SMSC across all aspects of their learning.
|Evidence underpinning this approach||
Our training is based on our Path to Success methodology, developed by our Head of Education, David Maytham, which is centered on talk-led, active and collaborative approaches to learning. Our methodology is grounded in the latest primary educational research from influential theorists such as Piaget, Dienes, Vygotsky, Skemp and Bruner. The Path to Success methodology promotes practical, fun and acheivable teaching methods and makes our first-hand experience of current teaching of real children in the primary classroom accessible to all.
Our methods have been actively used in the classroom and have been found to have a significant effect on the teaching of SMSC and children’s progress. We have received outstanding feedback, with 97% of people attending our training rating it as excellent.
|How users/participants can evaluate success||
The success of our course is immediately evaluated by delegates through an evaluation form, this gives people attending the course the opportunity to rate their experience of the course and the trainer. It also provides an opportunity to comment on highlights of the course and areas that could be improved or changed. Success can also be evaluated following the course. After attendees implement strategies from our course into their current teaching practice back in the classroom, they can compare these experiences with the objectives of the course.
You are more than welcome to then provide your feedback of this back to us.
