|Description||Time and self-management become even more important when you’re leading others. This interactive two-part course will enable you to reflect on your effectiveness, identify time-stealers and consider how to use your precious time more effectively. It will explore the importance of prioritising activities and engaging in forward planning. It will provide opportunities for you to identify actions for improvement and reflect on progress at part two of the course.|

This course is suitable for middle leaders and school business managers. This course aims to achieve the following: reflect on the importance of a healthy work-life balance; evaluate work activities and consider how best to prioritise important tasks; explore the habits of highly effective people; consider the importance of assertiveness and saying no; and develop an understanding of delegation and its potential for growing others

This course is run by Dr Christine Greenland who was a senior leader in schools before she led the learning and development team at a large local authority. She project managed the introduction of performance management for the Department for Education and Skills (as was) across 19 local education authorities in the south east, and later became a regional leader on the workforce reform programme for the Teaching and Development Agency for Schools.
