Description By attending the course delegates will feel more confident in working effectively in a one-to-one setting with their students. Attendees will learn how to start a session and go on to ask the right questions to discover what the real reasons are behind the issue or concern raised. They will be able to identify the students’ feelings and thoughts by their body language and verbal communication by empathising and creating a rapport with them. They will gain an understanding of how to “zip up” the student so that they can move on after the session and begin to achieve inner-harmony. Each delegate will also be able to recognise the needs for ‘academic’ counselling and ‘preventative’ counselling.
