The Progress course strengthens the pastoral dimension of the teacher's role by drawing on the principles and practices of counselling and focusing them on the needs of today's education workforce.
No one is expected to be capable of delivering great lessons without first receiving the necessary training. Yet teachers are frequently expected to support students who are experiencing difficulties in their lives, failing to make progress in their personal development and disengaging from their education. How?
Clearly, teachers facing this challenge need an injection of specialist training in how to help young people get their lives back on track and heading in the right direction. And that's exactly what Progress is designed to deliver.
The course is taught over full day workshops and supported by extensive materials including video, text and exercises available to you online so you can continue to apply what you’ve learned and develop your skills as a helper.
We also train teachers who specifically want to work as trainers across their school or cluster of schools.
Open courses are run from our studio in West London and can be arranged in locations across the country on demand.
This course does not have any pre-booked dates available. Please contact the provider directly to arrange this training.
