Description This practical course looks to provide challenge and enrichment in the various aspects of the English curriculum. It first examines who the most able pupils are in English, how they can be identified and what their specific needs. are. This involves consideration of the curriculum tools that should inform all subject areas. The course will include a range of practical curriculum examples for stretching and challenging gifted pupils. Delegates will have an opportunity to engage in a creative writing activity that can be used with students. The day will include a discussion of marking and target setting for gifted students - and examine enrichment opportunities within and beyond the school.
