It recognises that the better players at these levels can be bringing considerable physical power to the game in tackle, ruck and scrum and it equips the referee to deal with this. This course is particularly suitable for young teachers with a background in playing the game, but limited refereeing experience – or those who are required to officiate at these levels, but who lack confidence.
