Why Emotional Intelligence?

Emotional intelligence is a key skill in helping us manage our emotions and behaviour, communicate with others in a more engaging and empathetic way and overcome challenges more effectively.
An increasing amount of research suggests that the more senior and influential a person's position at work, the more they are required to rely on their emotional intelligence.

On the day participants will:

  • Understand what emotional intelligence is
  • Learn the core aspects of emotionally intelligent communication
  • Recognise their personal impact on others
  • Gain tools and tips to increase their emotional intelligence
  • Understand how "emotional intelligence" can improve communication in their school
  • Practise with colleagues and tap into the collaborative group wisdom & experience
Evidence underpinning this approach
