This course is suitable for governors, education leaders and school business managers who may want to consider managing their school’s finances with different cost centres. For example, they may want to examine the school’s finances separately for nursery, primary, after-school, SEND and pupil premium spending in a primary school or key stage 3, key stage 4, 6th form, SEND, pupil premium, after-school activities, certain GCSE options in a secondary school. The aims of the course include making delegates aware of cost centre management techniques and how they can be used in a school setting to inform decision-making, particularly around budget allocations and to provide quick tips, techniques and templates to facilitate easy application on return to the workplace
